Company
Intelligence

We examine company records and commercial evidence to inform decisions about customers, suppliers, partners, payment and market approach.
These examples show how evidence informs a business decision. Order values and proposed commercial arrangements are illustrative; these are not accounts of client assignments.
Example 01 · Supplier

Pay upfront?

Packaging Automation Limited
Question
A machinery order requires a €40,000 advance. What evidence would support that exposure?
Evidence
£11.85m turnover2025 revenue; £147,493 profit before tax.
£861k cashNet assets of approximately £2.19m.
96 employeesAverage workforce reported for the period.
Assessment
These figures indicate operating scale, but do not establish whether an advance is safe. Delivery capacity, current liquidity and the terms of this particular order still matter.
Next step
Link any advance to agreed production and acceptance milestones. Check current references and delivery commitments before agreeing the payment schedule.

Reporting date: 30 September 2025. Sources reviewed 10 September 2026.

Example 02 · Distributor

Give exclusivity?

Sweet Squared Limited
Question
A distributor requests exclusive rights. Does financial scale establish that it is the right partner?
Evidence
£15.46m turnoverRevenue declined 3.5% from the preceding period.
£9.10m net assetsGroup figures, not a guarantee from each group company.
£416k cashCash fell from approximately £586k.
Assessment
Financial scale supports further discussion. It does not answer how much attention a new brand would receive, which channels it would reach or which legal entity would sign the agreement.
Next step
Make exclusivity conditional on launch commitments, minimum purchases, channel coverage and review dates. Confirm the contracting entity and resources assigned to the brand.

Reporting date: 31 March 2025 · consolidated group. Sources reviewed 10 September 2026.

Example 03 · Customer

Sell on 60 days?

I Love Cosmetics Limited
Question
A new customer requests €25,000 of goods on 60-day terms. Is a long company history enough?
Evidence
Registered in 2003Company number 05002086.
Cosmetics wholesaleRegistered business activity.
Accounts to June 2025Historical filings cannot establish today’s ability to pay.
Assessment
Registration and trading history establish identity and continuity, not a credit limit. A credit decision requires verified financial figures, current payment references and an assessment of the proposed exposure.
Next step
Do not infer a €25,000 unsecured limit from the register alone. Obtain current evidence, then agree payment terms or protection proportionate to the findings.

Reporting date: 30 June 2025 · filing dated 24 March 2026. Sources reviewed 10 September 2026.

A note on scope

What the records can show

The depth of an investigation depends on the jurisdiction, the information available and the decision the client needs to make.

For market development, the same method can examine ownership, financial scale, capabilities, customers, sourcing, logistics and relevant decision-makers where reliable public evidence is available.

Public records can be supplemented, where useful, by paid registry, credit, market or specialist data. The scope is agreed in advance.

Any third-party data costs are agreed before purchase.

Each investigation distinguishes what is established, what can reasonably be inferred and what still requires direct verification. These examples illustrate analytical scope; they are not credit ratings, legal opinions or recommendations to transact.
